Pre-Grendel adventure, he casually takes out nine seamonsters in a night-time battle more fierce than any other. Or so he said at a party, as his excuse for losing a swimming contest.

This is just a rough really, but I quite liked the way the colours came out.

YESSSSS! This really gets across the epic ridiculousness of the whole Beowulf story. The serpents are almost like the surrealist shapes Salvador Dali used (which seems appropriate somehow), but the format is like a medieval triptych alter piece. Also gets across the idea of sequence and story. The rough texture and level of finish has a certain charm to it, but you should definitely consider making a more fleshed out version. Very very cool.

The colours definitely work very well as does having the center panel as the low part of the wave, framing Beowulf.
